Christmas is a four day affair, with guests arriving on Christmas Eve, gathering in the bar at 5 for a warming glass of sherry, and a quick “hello” from your hosts.
New Year is a 3 day break, and guests arrive to commence festivities on the 30th, and also get a glass of sherry and the welcoming gubbins.
Over the course of the next few days, revelers are stuffed to the gills with multi-course set meals and buffets, and the bar is always well stocked in case anyone needs to wash it all down. Which they do. A lot.
The bar on a night time becomes a haven of fun and frolics. Every night sees games from Bingo and our very own “Open the Handbag”, to in-house adaptations of assorted television games shows. Previous years have seen The Weakest Link and Bullseye cause much hilarity. And of course, there is a disco every night to bring in last orders. We also have cabaret every night.
